“I find Kundalini Yoga has an amazing effect on me, I feel clear mentally, emotionally calm and physically vital… the result is blissful!” Sheridan Stewart
“I was introduced to Kundalini yoga with Kathy years ago at the Rarest Gem but at the time, I wasn’t ready to commit to the practice. Years travelled by and I dabbled in different types of yoga practice, looking for something but not sure what. It was in May 2011 that I began to seek out a group of strong, independent women who could teach me and guide me through the many obstacles that were surfacing in my life. I was expressing this need to a friend who suggested that I come along to Kathy’s Kundalini practice each week. I made the commitment and found an amazing teacher who is warm, welcoming and wise and greets all with a “Sat Nam.” Kathy leads a group who accepted me and listened to my heart to help me find my voice again. When I don’t attend my yoga practice with these beautiful women, I feel the difference in mind and body because I don’t feel as whole or complete. The time we spend together benefits my entire being, and that’s what I was looking for.” Leanne Smith, Adelaide
“Kundalini yoga appeared at the right time for me. I'd long been exploring physicality and meditative states through practicing as a shiatsu therapist. Kundalini yoga offered me glimpses of inner stillness through total immersion in the kriya or posture. An admittedly sporadic Kundalini practice has left me with a more complete understanding of my physical form, better muscle tone and flexibility, the unexpected bonus of a trim midriff, and a stronger desire to expore 'awareness'… and I believe I've only scratched the surface.” Tim Boote, Windsor Gdns, SA
“Kundalini Yoga has helped me to stay grounded, to come out of my head and feel my feet, my body on the ground. I have gained so much awareness, not just of myself in the Universe, but of everything around me. I am thankful to have found Kundalini Yoga, the benefits on my mind and body have been profound. Balwant helps me to understand how the kriyas affect my body, she makes the class feel safe and friendly, so that you can attain the best from yourself and the class.” Courtney Grant-Allan, Modbury
“Balwant’s classes are deeply rejuvenating and wonderfully joyous! It is certainly a special yoga that she teaches! I have been a student of Balwant's classes and workshops for over 3 years now and have felt changed by the wisdom and support of her teaching! From the carefully thought out music and kriyas, she reminds you that you can change your physical, mental or emotional restrictions by paying attention to how you feel, healing it and letting it go. Awareness is the mother of inner peace. Not only have I enjoyed increased flexibility and a more calm mind, I have also been able to use the skills that Kundalini Yoga offers in many other areas of my life. I am very grateful for Balwant‘s Adelaide classes! But don‘t take my word for it; check it out for yourself!! Warning! It will transform you!” Ange Smelt, Adelaide
“Kundalini Yoga has literally changed my life!
Before Kundalini I had a spur on the lower part of spine — it is now gone! I had an unstable knee joint — it’s now stable. Plus, life balance has changed — I now feel centred and happy!
Thank you Kathy and Kundalini!” Barry Hill, Hectorville SA
“It’s been over 6 years since I first started Kundalini yoga with Kathy, and I haven’t looked back. I remember my first lesson like it was yesterday. I was going through some spiritual growth of my own, and I think Kundalini definitely aided me in guiding and assisting me on my own personal self-development… learning to appreciate the moment for what it was, and also becoming aware of the breath. To inhale and exhale, and learn to control my breath with various movement of the body has assisted in different aspects of my physical, mental and spiritual blocks and growth.
Every week in class, we concentrate on positions and breathing techniques which ground us and give us a “moment” to let go of all our worries and stresses in our everyday busy lives. To concentrate wholly on OURSELF!
It doesn’t matter what age, fitness level, or religion you are, each class is always different, and we are always working on different parts of the body. I think the most important element is the fact that Kundalini yoga improves your mental and physical wellbeing, and provides you with a "vital breath of fresh air" to help deal with the busy lifestyles we lead. The best part is, there is no WRONG or RIGHT! It's at your own time, with your own breath, in your own comfort. That’s the beauty of Kundalini Yoga.” Ilana Pavia, Highbury, SA
